Structure and Growth installation by David Katz

David Katz is a sculpture and installation artist working primarily with ceramics and unfired clay. He is a Critic in the Ceramics department at RISD and will be presenting a site-specific installation in the Nature Lab's bone room. The installation, Structure and Growth, is part of "What Fire Does", an Earth Itself event organized by the Institute at Brown for Environment and Society that will explore the productive, creative, destructive and transformative powers of fire. The Nature Lab is proud to be part of the vibrant two-week programming that includes lectures, panel discussions, presentations, works of art and performances.

The opening reception of Structure and Growth will be on Wednesday, April 19th at 5:30 pm and will be followed by a "Hot Night" in the Glass department.
