Regeneration: A Virtual Series
RSVP HERE for Regeneration with Melita Morales on Thursday, May 20 at 12 PM ET.
Join us on May 20 at 12 PM Eastern time for the eighth and final session of the Regeneration virtual series with Melita Morales, an Artist, Educator, and Researcher. With an emphasis on the creation of educational models that give equal value to the types of inquiry that take place in a lab, studio and workshop setting, Melita uses opportunities in classrooms, informal and after-school settings to experiment with curricula that encourages students to move between divergent and convergent thinking, and to formulate a systems-level understanding of how things work.
Aligned with her research in bringing art, nature, and science together through transdisciplinarity, this conversation will discuss the construction of knowledge in education and how we approach ways of knowing within art and science. This session will aim to offer hope on how to create openings for multiplicity and heterogeneity in learning environments by looping in previous conversations in the Regeneration series and by using examples of spaces already immersed in this mode of thought.
