Foraging & Bundle Dye Workshop
Following up on her Color Lab fellowship, Hope Leeson will be leading a foraging & bundle dye workshop in the Biodesign Makerspace on April 15th, from 10am-3pm. The workshop is open to any and all who wish to participate, but is limited in the number of spaces available. The first part of the workshop will center around various seasonal plant materials containing pigment and tannins for dyeing. We'll select materials from this collection to use in our bundle dyeing. Fabric and bundling materials will also be provided. While our bundles steam, we'll walk around Providence looking for and identifying various plants that have dye and tannin potential. Bring lunch, snacks, and water. Dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking up and down Providence's steep hills.
